George Nanchoff, Technical Director of the Internationals Academy, has announced that the current coaching staff of the Academy will be returning for the 2011-12 season intact. Jared Embick, TJ Kolba, and Tavi Muresan will retain their positions for the coming season although some shuffling may occur along with some new additions.

What We Know

We will not know of any changes to our division alignment or schedule until our administrative meetings later this month. We will post any changes when we know. The Great Lakes Division currently consists of 4 teams from the Chicago area – Sockers, Chicago Fire, Chicago Magic, and FC Milwaukee; our travel partner from the south, the Columbus Crew; 2 teams from Michigan – Derby County Wolves and Vardar; and Indiana United. Our division is the toughest within the Academy:
Of the 9 teams, 8 had a U16 or U18 team in the playoffs last year and 5 had teams in the finals (Inter, Fire, Sockers, Wolves, and Vardar). Out of the 6 championships held over the first 3 years of competition in the Development Academy program, 5 have been from the teams listed above (2008 - U16 Indiana; 2009 - U16 Wolves, U18 Indiana; 2010 - U16 Fire, U18 Vardar).
Competition doesn’t get any better than this !
